The Assistant Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing demand and supply planning, warehousing, inventory, and logistics operations (both inbound and outbound) to support the company’s business objectives. This role ensures efficient and timely movement of goods while aligning with business objectives and group-level strategies. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Leadership , Organization and Culture Development:

1. Ensure functional objectives are achieved by implementing efficient processes and monitoring performance.
2. Align priorities and integrate key activities and projects with the direct supervisor and with relevant matrix managers.
3. Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and in accordance with quality standards.
4. Prepare annual operating and capital expenditure budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) for supervised activities.
5. Evaluate team performance and hold direct reports accountable for achieving their individual targets; recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements.
6. Develop, review, and update relevant policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
7. Role modelling of the company core values to drive the culture to support the company mission & vision

Supply Chain, warehouse and inventory

1. Develop and execute warehousing management plans for both in-house and third-party warehouses.
2. Maintain detailed and accurate inventories of materials and supplies to prevent shortages.
3. Lead the monthly stock-taking process in coordination with the Finance Department.
4. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure necessary resources are available for a smooth and effective supply chain.
5. Oversee seed registration processes in coordination with the Product Development, Sales, and Finance Departments.
6. Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency.
7. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance supply chain effectiveness and company profitability.
8. Lead the implementation of group-initiated supply chain projects within the country (e.g., ERP systems).
9. Manage Slow-Moving & Obsolete Inventory (SMOI) and coordinate appropriate actions with Finance and Sales departments.

Logistics and customer service supply chain 

1. Oversee the end-to-end logistics process for seeds, non-seed materials, and finished goods, including international and domestic transportation, in coordination with sister companies, external vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
2. Optimize shipment and transportation routes with a focus on efficient warehousing and distribution.
3. Manage the importation process and stay informed of changes in import-export regulations and compliance requirements.
4. Manage the overall transaction of sales ordering, invoicing and customer complaints.

Demand and Supply Planning

1. Lead the demand planning process in collaboration with the Sales Department (sales forecasting), Group Supply Chain team, and sister companies.
2. Ensure achievement of in-country supply chain KPIs, particularly Forecast Accuracy and BIAS.
3. Facilitate and lead monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings to align, update, and make decisions that minimize disruptions and ensure demand is met.

Education:

1. Minimum, bachelor in Supply Chain Management, Procurement.

Experience:

1. Minimum 8 years of experience including around 3 years as supply chain management role or industrial facilities management role

Skills:

1. Proven skills in Supply chain activities including logistics, inventory and warehousing management
2. Well versed with project management processes/implementation
3. Excellent interpersonal skills
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
5. Can-do attitude
6. Strong strategic thinking
7. Solid in data analytics
8. Knowledge of ERP system and BI tools is a clear advantage
9. Proficient with Google Office Suite or related software
10. Fluent in English and Burmese language
