Brief History of East-West Seed Myanmar

East-West Seed (Myanmar) Co., Ltd. is part of the East-West Seed International, a global leader in tropical vegetable seeds, founded in 1982 in the Philippines by Dutch seedsman Dr. Simon N. Groot and his Filipino business partner, Benito Domingo.

East-West Seed first introduced its products to the Myanmar market in 2009 through local distributors and formally established its Myanmar company in 2015. In 2019, the company opened a modern seed processing facility in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Region, strengthening its local seed processing and quality assurance capabilities.

With a strong commitment to improving farmers' livelihoods, East-West Seed Myanmar provides high-quality vegetable seeds, innovative agricultural solutions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to help farmers improve productivity and income while contributing to the sustainable development of Myanmar's agricultural sector.
